A graduate of UC Riverside she earned a BA in music with an emphasis in vocal performance. As a student she performed with the University of California, Riverside's Choral Society, Chamber Singers and small jazz ensemble. She was also the sole singer for the UC Riverside's Jazz Big Band for her four year tenure at the school.
Jamila's smooth, warm mezzo soprano is equally comfortable singing a distinctive lead or blending seamlessly into the background. Jamila is professional, easy to work with and takes direction well. She can handle either sight reading or can quickly learn by ear and can create vocal arrangements on the spot.
